The science behind OS-01 LIP SPF

In lab studies on ex vivo human skin samples, OS-01 LIP SPF:

It’s winter here & my dry skin & lips are unhappy. I won’t leave the house without the OS-01 Lip SPF on. Through the coldest cold weather & driest winds, my lips stay protected. It’s an amazing barrier even though it’s creamy and sinks in beautifully.

It’s a nice product and my lips feel good but the applicator is terrible. The product leaks and a lot is wasted into the lid. For this price point, wasting product is not an option.

After dispensing, gently wipe the applicator against the inner rim before closing, and always store the tube upright with the cap fully tightened. This minimizes excess product in the lid and helps control dispensing.

The white appearance comes from the mineral UV filters used to provide broad-spectrum protection. While we continue working on improving transparency across a wider range of lip tones, some customers find that applying a smaller amount and gently warming and pressing the product into the lips helps it blend in more seamlessly.

First thoughts I am wasting a lot of the product. It comes out when you open it and unfortunately cannot put it back in. I have put a good amount on a tissue. Hopefully it does amazing work on lips
