The Science Behind OS-01 FACE SPF
Your skin is vulnerable to many external stressors on a daily basis, including UV damage, and free radicals from IR, blue light, and pollution. Not to mention the internal aging processes like cellular senescence which become exacerbated by external stressors.
Our SPFs are designed to target multiple aging pathways with broad-spectrum UV protection from non-nano zinc oxide, antioxidants to neutralize free radicals, and the OS-01 peptide to target senescence which has accumulated over time.01,02 In lab studies, our scientists have shown that OS-01 FACE SPF:

- Apply approximately ¼ to ½ teaspoon of sunscreen to the face and neck

Uses

Our formula was designed to provide a subtle, natural-looking coverage while delivering broad-spectrum sun protection, but we know how important it is that the color works harmoniously with your individual skin tone. Sometimes blending the product out in thinner layers or mixing it with a small amount of your regular moisturizer can help adjust the color intensity, but we totally understand that you shouldn't have to work around a product that doesn't feel right for you.

I had to purchase both the untinted and the light/medium and mix them together. The problem is that this then sheers out the tint so there’s less coverage than using the tinted light/medium on its own. Plus you have to spend twice as much for two expensive bottles just to try to get the right color. Very frustrating that they can’t simply come out with a “light” shade as well, for lighter skin tones to get the same level of coverage. Just for reference I am an NC25 and NC20 in MAC make up. I am not super pale at all, but the lightest shade is way, way too dark.

The color is not the best. Very limited of colors for a woman of color. Hoping you will expand your color ranges. I shouldn’t have to by the deep and the light/med to try to get close to my color tone. I love what you guys are doing. But remember there’s other great quality of brands out there that has expand their color ranges to support the many diversity we have in this world.
