The science behind OS-01 LIP SPF

In lab studies on ex vivo human skin samples, OS-01 LIP SPF:

The white cast you described is often caused by the zinc oxide used in mineral sunscreens like ours. While zinc is a powerful, skin-safe UV blocker, we understand it can sometimes leave a visible cast, especially on deeper skin tones or when applied generously.
We recommend starting with a small amount and blending thoroughly or applying to moist or damp skin, which helps the product absorb better and prevents it from sitting on top of the skin, which can enhance the cast.

My purchase of the one skin lip, I am just starting using this product and I’m really impressed with how well it performs. The texture is smooth and lightweight, gliding on easily without feeling sticky. It gives an instant boost of hydration, which is perfect for dry or chapped lips. I also like that it leaves a subtle shine, making my lips look healthier and more refreshed.
One of the best things is how long lasting the moisture is , I don’t feel the need to constantly reapply like with some other lip balms I used. I will be replacing my other lip balms with this one.

My lips have been significantly dryer over this year, most likely due to sun damage. Because I like the face peptide moisturizer so much I thought I'd try the LIP SPF. It seem great. It is a clear gel that covers well and I trust it will keep my lips more softer and stop the damage with continued summer and winter use to prevent the dryness. I love One Skin products.
