Uses

  • Helps prevent sunburn.

  • If used as directed with other sun protection measures (see directions), decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun.

How to use

Apply approximately one teaspoon (about the amount needed to cover the length of your index and middle fingers) of sunscreen to the face and neck. Gently massage into skin in thin layers, allowing it to absorb before adding more (this will minimize white cast). Use 15 minutes prior to sun exposure and reapply every two hours.

    Glad I found this!

    I have been searching for a sunscreen that doesn’t give me a white cast. The one that goes on smooth like a moisturizer, has great skin protection and benefits until I found this. I will use this brand for the rest of my life!

    Not for oily skin

    I really wanted this to work. I loved the feature of the peptide and the clean ingredients but I don’t think this is suited for oily skin. As a result I will have to try something else. I hope there will be considerations for oily skin persons in the future or maybe just a standalone serum. I would definitely try those.

Is OS-01 FACE SPF mineral or chemical sunscreen?

OS-01 FACE SPF uses non-nano zinc oxide, a mineral UV filter, as its only active sunscreen ingredient.
Non-nano zinc oxide is a highly stable, inert filter that provides broad-spectrum UV protection. The non-nano form is designed to sit on the surface of the skin, offering effective daily defense without compromise.

Does OS-01 FACE SPF protect against both UVA and UVB rays?

Yes. OS-01 FACE SPF provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays and has passed the FDA Broad Spectrum Test.
SPF 30+ reflects its level of protection against UVB rays, which are primarily responsible for sunburn. PA+++ indicates strong protection against UVA rays, which contribute to visible skin aging and hyperpigmentation.

Should I use OS-01 FACE SPF in addition to OS-01 FACE MOISTURIZER, or instead of it?

While OS-01 FACE and OS-01 FACE SPF contain similar concentrations of the OS-01 Peptide™, the non-nano zinc oxide in the SPF forms a physical barrier on the skin to provide UV protection. This barrier can limit how well the peptide absorbs.
For this reason, to get the most benefit from the OS-01 Peptide™, we recommend applying OS-01 FACE first, followed by OS-01 FACE SPF. However, if you are trying to simplify your routine, you can still benefit from the OS-01 Peptide™ with just OS-01 FACE SPF.

How much should I apply, and how often should I reapply?

Apply approximately one teaspoon (about the amount needed to cover the length of your index and middle fingers) as the last step in your skin care routine, at least 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every two hours when outdoors.

Is OS-01 FACE SPF waterproof or water-resistant?

No. OS-01 FACE SPF is designed for everyday use — commuting, working, running errands. For swimming or heavy sweating, we recommend using a water-resistant SPF, or reapplying OS-01 FACE SPF as soon as your skin is dry.
